France-based record label Grid is celebrating its one year anniversary with a new compilation.
Arriving digitally on June 3rd, Da Capo Al Coda spans 12 tracks of post-dubstep, bass, IDM and experimental.
In organizing the compilation, label boss Gautier Scaringella, AKA Clad, wanted to incorporate forward-thinking artists from across the globe rather than focus solely on producers in the French bass scene.
The record includes tracks from artists in the USA, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland and England. "These are tracks from all over the world and they are all united with their differences," he told RA.
As Grid enters its second year, Clad hopes to continue his search for artists on the cutting edge of the bass scene. "The compilation is part of this search for freshness and novelty," he said. "It's a desire to innovate, to go further, to try something new." Da Capo Al Coda follows a slew of EPs on Grid in 2022, including Kincaid's More Good Than Bad, qwqwqwqwa's Low Priority and Ltd Colours' Patterns.
